At what serial number did IBM start using the round bolt?

according to Riesch 6th ed they began at 3900000. Don't know about you but I got a 379114* which calls for flat bolt; haven't seen a round one avail much less flat.

Got one I don't need, complete, can't find it, gun room too small, too much stuff, will keep looking, room needs good field day.

So I guess that means the round IBM bolt in my 369000 isn't the right bolt huh?

Dan, if you find the bolt, I can surely use it. Email me please: Clem@ptmc.net

You could use a flat or round bolt on 379114x. Many of the early round bolts that IBM used had an X marked on the top about 1/2 inch behind the lugs.

Indicates that the earliest IBM serial number with a round bolt is 3758483. The round bolts used in these earlier IBMs had an "x" stamped on them, "on top of the bolt, 1/2 inch behind the lug".
