1210EST. I was just taking a quick surf through the old CSP and alas, it went away! Looks like they may have finally pulled the plug. If so, the passing of an era, folks. A part of the good ol' days is gone :crying:

I just looked at the M1903 forum and it is still there.

In fact, I just looked at the carbine forum on CSP and it is still there. No telling for how long, though.

I was just on the carbine site and it was still working. (Slowly, as usual)
It may have been locked up from spam etc when you tried

I've been grabbing and printing off what I can from the archives.
Losing those will be a BIG loss.
Worse than the Detroit Lions last season.

Yeah, I just checked and ol' CSP is still there. Guess it was a temporary glitch. Painter777 has a good idea regarding going into the archives and saving things you want to refer to later.

It died while I was reading a thread in Gun Talk.
Darn interesting thread too.

And then it came back!
Back to there to finish the thread......

I thought that was the Cleveland Browns!
The jouster site seem to now be down for good.:runaway:
It is definitely an end of an era.

Well, from here it appears to be gone. In earlier posts it was up and then down, and then up again. I had to assume that it was coming up to allow more file transfers to the new site.
I think it's safe to delete the sites from our "favorites" list now.
Goodbye to an old friend........

I checked last night and this morning - it's gone. :crying:
I'm getting used to this site and like a lot about it. There's a lot more clutter in the WTS department, though.

Yes, it appears to be gone.
I like the new site too after getting used to it. I went to the old site yesterday and had almost forgotten how slow it was. Not many new posts in the last week other than a few people complaining and fighting to the end saying they weren't moving to the new site. I tried to help one member move and he made a couple of rude comments. (My feelings were so hurt )
I understand many people are resistant to change. I was comfortable with the old format too, but this new site is safe, secure, state-of-the-art, and loads quickly for me. Lots of support too and not run by a couple of overworked and many times unappreciated individuals. Many more benefits than set-backs just learning and getting comfortable with a new format.
I wish more people would be grateful Dick and Gloria worked so hard to find us a new home before they retired. They didn't have to. They made sure the CSP would continue to have a life, and as usual there are a few who can only find fault. It never changes and I know the complaints discouraged Gloria. She sent me an email over three years ago and said it didn't make any difference what she did because some members would complain about something anyway.

Gone with the wind....I sure learned a lot about the carbine there. Many thanks to those who provided it for us for so long.

This'll be a whole lot faster than the old forum and this format is much easier to keep up with. I like it.
