I noticed a Kar98k on the CS website. Bolt doesn't match rifle, scope mount doesn't match rifle, only $3500.

Is a mixmaster worth that much?

If all the parts are real, it would part out for at least that on the bay. Of course, I have no idea if it has real parts or not. Repros are all over the place in recent months since Inter-Ordnance started contracting very good repros in the Ukraine last year. In fact, they also segragate out their correct BCD sniper receivered RC Mausers and build up mismatched repros for sale these days.

Caveat Emptor. Know your stuff and buy Law's sniper book before even thinking of paying $3K+ for any German sniper - just one man's opinion.

Down in these parts $2,500.00 to $3,500.00 for a text book correct Re-pro-SDH

I've always questioned whether these K98k's equipped with the ZF41 scout scopes should be legitimately be referred to as "sniper rifles"..... :)

I'd like to handle it to see if it's a rebuild ....

I think they are "snipers" but mayb more "tactical sniper" is a better choice since these were meant for close-in engagement.

Well, you can definitely put together a mixmaster repro ZF41 sniper for less than that. I did for about $1400 with a bolt m/m K98, a leaf adaptor base and a Zf41 and mount.

I think you'd find on today's market, a real ZF41 scope might brng close to $1400 by itself.

I saw a pretty nice original rig sell last year for $2000 and then get immediately flipped for 4K, so there is a market for legit examples...
