From Scott Duff's web site - a true rare combination

One is a Springfield Armory manufactured in May 1943 and the other is a Winchester (WIN-13) manufactured in April 1945. Both rifles have been restored. In 25 years of Garand collecting this is the first duplicate serial numbered pair of rifles that I have personally seen. They will only be sold as a pair.

From James E. “Mac” McCollum Collection - 139-R1192. M1 Garand Rifles, Springfield Armory, s/n 1616152 and Winchester Repeating Arms s/n 1616152 (WIN-13). This is a duplicate serial number pair World War II era rifles.
— $9,995 for the pair

There is a photo from an issue of The American Rifleman (1962) that shows a duplicate serial numbered WRA and SA rifle from a US Army installation in Japan
