MILSURPS.COM is pleased to announce the addition of new "Thumbnail Wrap Tags", that can be used for displaying pictures when you're creating or editing posts that use IMAGES.
For example:
The picture below is created using the standard IMG (Image) tags
Example: your picture URL link is placed here
http://photos.imageevent.com/badgerdog/canadianservicerifles/1943stenmkiilongbranch/huge/DSC02140%20_Medium_.JPG
Notice how large the image appears in the post !!
........ Even after it was automatically resized smaller when it was posted .........
Now, compare the same picture below when the new TMB (Thumbnail) tags are used.
Example: [ tmb] your picture URL link is placed here [/TMB]
http://photos.imageevent.com/badgerdog/canadianservicerifles/1943stenmkiilongbranch/huge/DSC02140%20_Medium_.JPG
Now the pic takes up less screen space and bandwidth when members view the post, yet anyone who wants to view the original FULL SIZE version, can easily click on the thumbnail to enlarge it, as if they had used the IMG (Image) tag in the first place. This new TMB (Thumbnail) tag can be entered directly as you create a message, or easily accessed with a mouse click from within the message editor, by clicking on the icon that looks like this:
-----> http://www.milsurps.com/images/editor/tmbdb3.gif <-----
NOTE: On some systems with Microsoft's Internet Explorer, after you click on images to ENLARGE them, you may find they automatically size smaller in your browser's window. The auto sizing is your browser's way of keeping images entirely within the screen size you have set.
If this happens, move your mouse pointer to the bottom right corner of the pic and hold it there. You will see a small box open up with four arrows point outwards and it will say "Expand to Regular Size". Click this box and the pic will open up to it's original FULL size.
Enjoy !!

Badger
