    Presenting the Johnson Method of Musketry Coaching As Adopted By the Canadian Army, Ottawa, Chief of the General Staff. 1945.

    The original book is now out-of-print and the Canadian Government Crown Copyright has expired. An original copy of the book may still be found by searching "Google" and perhaps locating a copy through antique or rare book dealers. It ranges in price from $40 to $100 depending upon condition and availability. It's in Soft Cover, about 7¾" - 9¾" tall, bound with stiff card covers and is 240 pages long.



    Collector's Comments and Feedback:

    1. As per the Copyright Act, copyright in a work exists for the life of the author/creator, the remainder of the calendar year in which he is deceased, plus fifty years after the end of that calendar year.

    For Crown copyrighted works, there is a slight difference. Section 12 of the Copyright Act stipulates:

    “12. Without prejudice to any rights or privileges of the Crown, where any work is, or has been, prepared or published by or under the direction or control of Her Majesty or any government department, the copyright in the work shall, subject to any agreement with the author, belong to Her Majesty and in that case shall continue for the remainder of the calendar year of the first publication of the work and for a period of fifty years following the end of that calendar year. [S.C. 1993, c. 44, s. 60(1)]”

      Thank you for your post. It's a very interesting book and ait contains some adviceses the shooter could use today.

      I saw the real book 2years ago,had to read itreal quick as the book was borrowed from a friend of mine got that from his dad had a chance to make some notes high lighted some of the interesting articles,and you knowI can,t find it now.
      I for one thought I would never see a copy,a lot of can be used today for new shooters.I iam of fan of the #4 le enfield after spending 17 years with the Canadian Rangers.

      Great book- I was wondering what range distance was used in the marksmanship test/ training? 25yds?

      Dad was a WW2 vintage soldier and I learned to shoot with this book.
