Thats tough. Garand or No4mk1 (T)
Hi Blackcat,
i have two of these. At first my M1917, wich had seen short time service in WWII, it is the most accurate rifle i ever had. And the second one is my LE No4 MKI* it is light and simple made and has good iron sights like the M1917 too. And it is good to handle and accurate too. What is your favorite one?

Battle rifle: The greatest combat arm ever devised: M1 Garand.
Emergency, city, carbine: M1 Carbine.
All the rest pale by comparison. (Note: because of US law does not include full auto because I have never owned any. Thompson is fun to shoot, but not a rifle)
Hallo Gunner!
I have a 'trio' on my favorites: a) Mauser K98 b) Mosin M91/30 c) M1 Garand
Said that, it's difficult to tell what's my 'best one'. About the Enfield No4 MkI... I don't know. Is/was it so 'easy to handle' and reliable? Really not easy for me to tell :dunno:. That's (also) the matter for my question, to know something better from other 'rifles lovers'.
Tschüß! :beerchug:
Hi Blackcat,
in my opinion the LE is easy to maintenance by the soldiers. It has no complicated parts on it. The bolt is easy made the sights are very good and it also works if is full of sand. I was at an shooting where the rifles were stored in an rack and an idiot made the mistake to run at the rack. The rifles were full of sand but no time to make a complete cleaning. So i cleaned the bore and tried to get the sand out of the other parts. But during the shooting i heard that there are some pieces of sand scratching in the rifle but it worked great, not so the Mausers. So if you ever get to going to Berlin/Wannsee store your rifle in the softcase!

without a question: the Sweedish Mauser for it's inherent quality and shooting prowess. Next the Garand and then the 1903-a4.
Hi I'm new,but not to military rifles. At one time or another I've owned about everything in the way of military surplus firearms.Growing up in the 1960's you could walk into a Sears, monkey wards or many others and buy alot of different military rifles. I have to say in my older age my favorite and most accurate (IMO) is the Swiss K-31. Way under priced for the quality.Still love my 03A3, M-1 garand and carbine.Still have a like new Swedish M-38 but just like the Swiss rifle a little bit more.
My favorite WW2 era rifle would be the German K98. It's very accurate, rugged, and cool looking. I also like how the ammo is cheap. That means more shooting:)
