A shop only 2 klms from me has about a dozen of them for sale in brisbane & ive had a good look at them but never used one. The finish on them looks great though. Im probably going to buy one when i sell my clay pigeon gun.
My only problem is which one to buy !!

They are very well built, extremely accurate with just about any ammunition and HEAVY. The stocks are dense, Teak I believe, and fit very well. Mine looks to be hand fitted. Everything about it is exactly as it should be. I don't regret for one minute buying mine. I like it so much that I even mounted a Pecar 6X on it.
I've got a deal in the works on a 7.62x39 model. It it is at all like the 7.62x51, it should be a dream to shoot. Not only that but with ammunition running at $225/1200 it doesn't get much cheaper.
Prices are similar to those in Canada from the OP link.
The one I'm working on getting now is NIB with a spare mag, front sight adj tool and scope base for $800Can shipped, taxes in.

I can hardly wait for bearhunter to get his as I want to help him wear out the barrel?? LOL
If it wouldn't cost me an fortune I'd drive up and give you a hand with that ;) thing is the ferry is a killer. I could bring up my M10 in 308. I just used it two weekends ago to win 5 turkeys in our clubs anual Christmas Turkey Shoot. I got my 6th with my BSA No.8 in the 22 shoot. My AIA was worth every penny.
Don, we're going to have to organise some milsurp turkey shoots at the Lumby range. To bad it's only 100m.
Man I wish someone would import these to the States!

There are two informative but very different library entries on the AIA rifles.
AIA No. 4 Mk. 4 (Review by Stevo) (click here)
Australian AIA Rifles (Feedback and Opinion by Steve) (click here)
Please note that the author of "Australian AIA Rifles" Steve is not the same as the member Stevo, who wrote a separate review of the "AIA No. 4 Mk. 4 rifle."
Also, type australian m10 in the Google CES custom white search box (located top right of forums) and you'll see dozens of past threads discussing these rifles.
Hope that helps .. :)
Regards,
Doug
But how to get one here in the USA ?
