............and there was me thinking we were getting another aeroplane story:)
If it is an original it should be registered as a AOW because of the smooth bore then I would consider buying it, if it is not, then it is violation of the NFA and I would steer clear of it. If it is one of the recent redeuxs with the rifled barrel that transfer as a pistol then $900 is too much (MSRP+/- $600 with accessories). Vintage Ordnance

Where did you get that information Al?
No, I already knew that the Liberator doesn't fall under the NFA and hasn't for a long time. I didn't know it ever did fall under NFA to be honest.

I reckon it did at one time. Maybe it was removed in 1986 with many other items. Before my time as an NFA dealer.
So, what information then? The "Vintage Ordnance"?
Yes, it was removed from the NFA as collectors items and classified as a Curio or Relic.

No, I was wondering why it was still classified as an AOW. I didn't think so as I've seen a few bought and sold in the past ten years. Garry James told me he fired one once wearing a heavy work glove and it still hurt but no blood!
I've seen their repops at the Knob Creek show.
I yield. I am not as versed as some on this stuff. I will keep my mouth shut. Thanks for the info.
I want one but, I don't have the kind of disposible income needed. Maybe someday.

Thanks for input and hello Brian, I've been out of touch. It's the real deal, $900???
