Hello
I just bought a No. 5 carbine with matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt and fore-stock. The markings on the receiver are a bit worn but I can still make out that this was made in Fazerkeley. Visible markings are: Mk I ROF(F) on the first line, and
on the second line: ?/44 B3479. The ? is either a 6 or a 9 or a 10, difficult to make out as the marking in worn.
Does anyone have an idea of how to find out where this rifle saw service? No other markings indicating that it ended up in Asia and the wood is in excellent shape.
Thanks
