Savage No4 MK1*
Hi , i have baught a 1943 dated US Prop. Lee-Enfield No.4 MK1* a few weeks ago and was wondering if any of you knows about markings ? serial # is 50C3454 and has a B under it where the stock ring is , not LB (longBranch) like iv'e seen in other posts. Just a B what does it mean ?
there are no markings on the receiver that shows where it has been sent . i would really like to know what country it had served durring the war. it has a lot of wear and tear on the stock. it has seen battle for sure lol. there is also FR 43 and KKD marking on the stock

i believe it to have been used by the Brits cause it came with a BEC N96 bayonet (Baird Engineering Co,)
There is no way in knowing where the last owner got it from cause he has a bad case of alzheimer's disease. He said that his father went to war and that it was passed down to him. I would believe that story but the fact that it has the KKD mark on the stock makes me dought his story. Cause the KKD making means that it has been stored in India's Karachi Depot (in present day Pakistan)

what i want to know is if it has the KKD marking does that mean it was used by India or was it only sent there to be stored after the war ???
