Carbine stock marking - help needed !
Good morning to you all !
I want to replace a warped stock, as aiming off to correct for the weather is a nuisance. I am looking at a low-wood carbine stock that has IO in the sling cut-out. To the left of the cut-out, but stamped so that it reads correctly if you hold the rifle muzzle-down, is
STD
PROD
RWH
Sorry, no photo available.
Standard Products is obvious, but RWH?
Ex-factory original (if so, which period)? Or replacement? Or fake?
Please help!
Anyone Know Inspector RWH ?

Patrick,
Since you asked about this it's been like a pebble in my boot !
Have no new information about who Standard Products Rebuild Inspector was....
Looks like I'm not alone after looking over this list:
"RWH Unknown Rebuilt Standard Products .30 M1 Carbines"
