I think you're correct. That's where the bend was.
He's talking about the way I described straightening a barrel. It's really not hard for the most part. You just can't do it with your hands at the breakfast table...

Bore scoped the barrel does not look bad. Spot was at 14" pretty much middle of barrel.
It should still shoot. The last 6 or so inches will be OK and that's important.

I finally had some time and decent weather. I find this out come very interesting vs some of the comments received on the topic. Shot from bag on bench at 50 yards. I will not change a thing on this gun except to move the sights.:dancingbanana:
When I was in NH
I was hitting a 12" gong at 200 yards quite regularly using a 200 grain cast boolit and Alliant 2400 powder
I too would be interested in how your rifle shoots at 200 yards
