I have a No 4 Mk 1* here in the UK, No 23L4877. Bolt matches. Receiver dated 1943. Can't find many other markings but I'll update if I find anything else interesting.

I have a 1942 Longbranch, s/n 4L0955. It is all matching except for the butt plate which has no number at all. It is in excellent condition. It has what I think might be import markings, but they mean nothing to me. I have had it since the early 1990's.
1941 Long Branch 0L7557. Barrel is dated 1942, is correctly serial numbered and matches serial numbers on buttsocket and bolt. Bolt is original, not a force-match. I don't have the rifle yet, but I will add more details when it turns up.
Working on an updated serial number list. About 100 more to tally.....
Long Branch 1950, C No.4 Mk1*. 95L447X. Imported by Alpha, Lima, Oh. All blued , including steel buttplate. Non-FTR. Grooved handguard & RFI adjustable rear sight (I did these two things. It's not pristine, anyway.) Walnut furniture.

A sporterized #4 Mk.1*, 1942, 17L6182. Two groove barrel, brass butt plate, beech stock marked at wrist "D P Only". 1942 barrel date, Mark II flip type rear sight. (Imported by Alpha Lima) No FTR.
