Been lurking here and learning a lot. I decided to join. I bought a new Colt Mk IV series 70 government in 1979 and have enjoyed it and shoot it regularly. I am a Navy veteran discharged Dec. 1975.
HI I AM NEW TO THE FORUM,MY QUESTION IS , HAS ANY ONE SEEN A VISE CALLED " THE SPRINGFIELD " AND IS ABOUT AS LONG AS A RIFLE ACTION . ON THE HANDLE ITS CASTED IN " THE SPRINGFILED " IT WAS WITH STUFF FROM A GUNSMITH AUCTION . I SEARCHED THE INTERNET IMAGES AND FIND NOTHING . REALLY CURIOS WHAT IT MAY BE , LOOKS THAT IT WAS RED AT ONE TIME .

Just found this forum and wish I had found it a month ago. Looks like some very valuable information is posted here. Many, many thanks to the posters.
I have wanted one of these things since I was about 14 years old, which has been many, many years ago.
Spent about 8 years in the Navy, ( Nuke boats), like to target shoot, reload ammo and do some minor gunsmithing. I am retired, so I can pretty much do as I please.
Again, very much appreciate all the posters and the info they have provided. Keep up the good work.
Hey there. Brit expat living in Richmond, Virginia and now the proud owner of No I, No 4 and No 5 Lee Enfield rifles. Stumbled across this site and was amazed at the incredible resource it provides. I have a ton of reading to do!
Hello Everyone!
I'm a new collector and am excited to learn more about collecting milsurp firearms. I'm glad to find this forum!
Hi all, new to this website but have visited several times for info. I have collected arms for 40 years but was never a dedicated military collector, had a few full autos in the early 70's but moved on to Winchester levers and percussian Colts. I have a great interest in the early years of the NWMP and 1885 rebellion , Upper Canada Colt's and Fenian raids. I recently aquired a number of Enfields and am already learning plenty from the Milsurps website
Hi,
Just introducing myself. Been shooting for 35+ or so years but have only recently gotten into MilSurps. I'm primarily interested in .22 "trainers" with no particular focus yet. Have picked up a Cooey 82, Mossberg 44US(c) and a K98 (in .22) is inbound. I'm currently looking for a No7 and lots of advice from thoughs more experienced than I.
