H&R Reising M65
Hello all
I am new to this site. I have been looking for info on a H&R Reising M65 .22 that has been in my family since at least back in 60's. It was one of my dad's guns which I ended up with and its been in my closet or safe for decades now.
It doesn't have the original sights as someone apparently drilled and tapped it for a scope which no doubt dropped the value of the gun. The serial number is 99xx. Any info or comments would be appreciated.

They also added a nose cap to the wood. General feeling is that that high of a number puts it out of the WW2 / USMC range , but some disagree . Good shooters , I enjoy my three regularly . Rear sights are availible if you hunt for them . Redfield 70 AT 21 , if I remember correctly . If you pull it from the wood , note if the arm that reaches forward to the rear of the action bar has a spring loaded beak on it or not. If it does , then your trigger will most likely have a screw for adjustment.
