Has anyone used this russian ammo:

It says "superclean". Should I assume it is nevertheless corrosive, since it doesn't say that it's not corrosive??

I treat any ammo that comes in a tin like that as corrosive. Which isn't a big deal. Just run a patch or two with a 50/50 mix of ammonia and water, then a dry patch and an oily patch through the barrel before you leave the range. Never had a problem.
I have also read of just carrying a bottle of windex around to squirt all the parts right away. WHich is pretty much what Swede is saying with the ammonia.
This has been my method for a number of years with my Yugo M48 and corrosive ammo. When I get home I repeat the process, or if I'm feeling particularly industrious I use boiling water. Dry patches, then solvent and oil per usual practice. My M48 still looks pristine! :super:
I've always done it this way.
EMPIRE ARMS: How to safely and quickly clean your firearm after using corrosive ammo
Why not ask AIM if it's corrosive? I use Hoppe's#9 to clean after shooting corrosive ammo and haven't had a problem. The old GI bore solvent would probably work too.
Well it is, or more correctly it was. Looks like the Russian is dried up or that page is defunct on the AIM website.
ALL 7.62x54R mil surp ammo is corrosive.
Buy the Hungarian light ball, I have many types of mil surp 7.62x54R and that HLB shoots the smallest groups in my rifles.
All of the Russian military 7.62x54R is corrosive. Hoppe' s removed the corrosive element in No.9 years ago. Hot water THEN Hoppe's No.9 runs good. This question has been covered in depth!
