Idenifying M1 Carbine Butt Plates
I have heard many opinions on the different butt plates and their identification. There seems to be a great deal of confusion when identifying Winchesters. I'm posting some examples I have in my inventory for my various stock restoration projects.
I believe the below group contains Underwood, IBM, National Postal Meter, Saginaw, Quality Hardware, Inland and Winchester Butt Plates. I' like to see what the experts say and see if I'm identifying my cache properly. Would appreciate any help you all can offer.

Ahh I see a great debate over this subject lol. As far as im concerned the only ones that I believe to be what they are , would be the plates stamped with a code or letter like an IP or SP would have
