Is this too EVIL for a .22lr ?
I will say upfront I am NOT A (E.B.G.) Evil Black Gun type of person. That said this is so much fun to waste time at the range with. I usually take my .45 colt six gun to the local indoor 25yard range. With the price of .45colt ammo you don’t get to spend much time there before you are out. Taking this Colt with me allows me to spend more time at the range. I can send a target all the way down the line, hit it with a couple 30 round magazines from the Colt. Bring that target back, turn it over, stick on five 3” sight-n-sees, send them out about half way and hit it up with a couple groups from the six shooter. Makes for a nice day at the range at a much cheaper price.
Anyway I found it a fun extra to have in the safe, and even a little helpful keeping up practice with using mil sights similar to my m1 carbine.
Just my $0.02, Thanks

Model 1903 converted to 22 rim fire
Attachment 22881Attachment 22882I got this barrel from a man in NC who installs 22 rim fire liners in old shot-out 1903 barrels, sometimes he uses drill rifle barrels. I had an old low number receiver from 1915 and installed the barrel with the rim fire liner, this barrel has a breech extension so the Springfield M2 will headspace. I used an old Lyman 438 scope from the late 1930's, also used a lighter sear spring for a better trigger. Quite accurate
