Danish Lend lease. about 600.00 over priced..and a big line of BS that goes with it.
Wikipaste perhaps?
Holy smoke, that was a lot of pictures in that ad... he must be going for the world record for ad size. Pretty nice looking rifle, I think my Remington is pretty close to that one's serial.
I'd have said ex Canadian rifle, but I didn't see any signs it was one of the rifles that were later in the Danish lend/lease (no sticker and no changed front sight) programme. How did you come to the conclusion it's Danish, Chuck?
import mark , serial numbered bolt and stock.. no arrow head or other Candian markings is why is was thinking Denmark
I've seen the S/Ned bolt also on other M1917s, and the S/N placement on the stock is usually behind the trigger and in front of the butt swivel. The markings on the stock are definately Canadian, also the rifle shows light rests of the "red stripe" in front. The scratched "107" is definately not military and done by an individual. But you could still be right with Danish as they received quite a lot of those from Canada.
lol, you looked at it a lot closer then i did...
