The miles gear for Colt used a common battery, C or D I think. Right out of stores. The one you have seems to be square edge. If Mr Laidler isn't aware of them, then we may have a problem here. Valley gun works in Petawawa is owned by an ex armourer W.O. that might know where these power cells are from. The unit itself could be UK produced and then the mount is cooked up for our rifle. Thus the marking for FN C1. What's the stock # inside, how is it marked, L or C or M? That could give us a clue to whether it's UK, Canadian or American made. You could also check with some of the electronic geeks local to you, they might know what kind of power cell to harness up.
