BSA Target sight - SMLE?
Hi all - was wondering if people could suggest which kind of sight this is: I'm presuming it's for a SMLE and it's marked BSA with Pat 26943-67; p.pat 29844-10; p.pat 30337-10; rd 575536 on the slider. I've had a scan of the rifleman site and can't immediately spot it. It doesn't 'spring' up or down so may be missing something. All thoughts welcomed. It has an interesting eyepiece as pictured.

Might be for a "long" L-E. I think I have one similar on a rifle, but haven't looked at it in a while. I'm really not well versed on the civilian sight, though.

BSA Target sight - SMLE?
Looks like a BSA 9C or 9G sight.

The base looks like a AJ Parker TZ one - not what you'd expect to see with this top half, who looks like a BSA 'Martin'

You have the 9D model, 9C & D were distinctive in having the small square cornered adjustable zero plate, models E to G had a taper to the top of the plate.
Your model is identified by the courser threaded elevation screw.

It might be here too; Aperture sights
The plate reminds me of one from a different maker, you may have a BSA 9 with an AGP TZ plate, just a thought.
