USMC6094
Another of these "Bolt Action Assault Rifles" found me last week. I mentioned to my gunsmith to let me know if anyone had anything interesting for sale and what to my wondering eyes should appear. 12/1946 Faz. Perhaps 90% on the metal end to end with the acception of the magazine. Couple of dings on the furniture. Now do I trade my number 5 with the Bubba scope mount holes or pay $$$ to have the holes repaired? I may post a thread with some good photos of each and take a poll.
I say keep it, could be a hands on repair project that you'll learn from.
I thought about it after I posted. I owe it to the nice fellow who donated the rear sight to keep it not to mention I love these things. They were "tactical" before tactical was cool. But I will not go near it with a welder I will use plug screws or turn it over to someone I Really trust. I could not forgive myself for Bubbaing it further. Shoot share and enjoy!
