I don't know what they are called.
I read here a month back that someone picked up a lot of hand guards and I am thinking they may have a few to sell.
Any leads appreicated,
Thanks, Roger

Maybe for the M3...or T3?
yes, that is it. I don't think there is a type number for it.
I think it was P7 that came into a bunch of handguards.
I am going to PM him to see if he has any.
M3 . They're the ones that used the mounting bar to join the scope to any 'ol carbine . The hole is there to allow the stud to stick through from the barrel mounting block for the front of the mounting bar to attach .
Just to remind , the stock needs to be relieved to clear the mounting block that wraps around the barrel.

I think maybe Sarco and Gunparts Corp had these for sale..
Nah. They found a bunch of unissued 'IP' handguards somewhere in the warehouse and decided to make 'T3s' out of them with a Dremel. They thought the mark meant 'PI', like certain Packard parts for Inland.
T3s are the carbines with the scope mounts as part of the reciever , therefore do not need nor use the mounting bar to join the scope to the gun , therefore do not have the hole in the handguard for the mounting block for the mounting bar .
