M1 Garand ammo clips question.
Hello,
I have inherited my father-in-laws M1 and ammo stock. My question is: The markings in the circle of the back of the clip has various letter stamping. Can you read the markings like Ammo? He had some "China" clips mixed in with some of the "US" made stamped clips. These China clips don't have as well defined stamping and they tend to load with more difficulty. I think I want to pitch the China made clips. They are crap.
Confirm that Chinese M1 Clips are No Good

Dude67, Your instincts are correct, get rid of the Chinese M1 clips. A good friend of mine had his Garand freeze up in a rapid fire stage during a Garand Match at Camp Perry in 2009. Gus Fisher later confirmed that the clip he was using was Chinese, and was out of spec . HTH, Karl
