Upon further reading on this site, and closer inspection of the photos, the slide says Model of 1911, and not 1911A1.

Thanks, C&R. No, i guess lack of anything in the butt trap was the only -- very very minor -- disappointment in cleaning up that rifle. It is a Remington, early 1943. Shoots pretty well too.:thup:
