Get well soon, Paul. Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
Just wanted to recommend to the carbine forum members, a documentary DVD entitled "Chosin". There's absolutely nothing like hearing the history of this 14 day campaign from the men who survived. May...
Ronnie,
The only thing I could think of when I read his comment about the forum was what Curly Bill said to Wyatt as he was leaving "Tombstone".
"Well...'bye!"
Ronnie, from Jim Mock's site:

The British Empire received 25,362 M1/M2 carbines during WWII via Lend Lease. ChadC may have a rare bird.
As my dad always says: "I don't mind a man making money, just not all of it from me."
The plum colored trigger housing brings Austria to mind. Did the Greek's metal treatment do the same colorizing?

Just wanted to show you what I was working with.

Thank you, Frank. My Winchester stock is about half phone pole. Mostly barrel/slide channel and forearm. Thanks for the photos. Hope the Win stock turns out half as nice!
Thanks, TR, I'll give it a try
Trying to clean up a stock with a lot of carbon build-up. Been using mineral spirits but it doesn't seem to be "cutting" it. Any pointers? :dunno:
Thanks, RM. I've been kinda drooling for one now for a couple months. Years back I had to give up my MKIV Series 70 to pay bills :( Now, with my stimulus engorged refund in hand, this looks like the...
Looks good to me, RM. I do have a couple questions. Internet rumors state that USGI parts will swap only with some hand fitting. True? And could this be because Rock Island tolerances are tighter?
The reason I suspected the box as Miltech, is because I own one. :o "Back in the day" I purchased a Garand from them for, IIRC, about 9 bills. From purchase to ship took about a year. Didn't know...
Almost looks like a Miltech box.

+1 for Eddy Yuja (81mm on GunBroker). Excellent communications and fast shipping :super:
Note: Just tried to pull up Eddys' stuff on GB and it came up empty. Hope all is well and it's just a glich.
"Good Used" are no longer in the e-store. Go figure.
Just a heads up. On the e-store site under parts IIRC. Purchased 5 for myself "Good Used" variety @ $4.50 each. These mostly have manf. stamps. They list new ones that don't. Didn't bother to check...
Nice score
I enjoyed looking at every one of them. Thanks, Ronnie! :super:
Red dot style, I have had a 1X24 Reflex for almost 8 years. No batteries, just fiber optics and tritium. Takes a licking...JMHO

I am sighting in an Armalite M15A4, 16 in barrel with both detachable carry handle and front sight at 50 yards (IAW Lt. Colonel Santose instructions). Ammo is Swiss surplus 5.6mm Gw Pat 90 (63 gr?)....
In Lt. Colonel Santose explanation of exceptions to battlesight zero (in TM9-1005-319-10), he states in paragraph 6 line 2 "Small aperture, nose to firing handle weld."
Can someone explain, to this...
Wow, dude.
