IMHO it's a little steep for a Russian capture. The metal finish is not bluing on a Russian capture it was redone by the Russians in some kind of black finish.

I have not found any references to Sedgely as a marking on the hood cover. The mark is a very distinct fancy S in a circle. Jim, good point about the NS marked bolt handle.

Also have a circled S front sight hood which I think means it is a Seaville Mfg Co. stamp. Is this correct for a Smith Corona? Front sight is marked with Remington R. Is the Seaville sight hood...

Hi all, this is my first post here, I have a Smith Corona 1903A3 that has a proper parkerized butt plate but the screws are blued. Is this correct or should the screws be parked also?
