WWII M1 Garand Rifle Scabbard

Dear Collectors,
I have been today to Militalia, a militaria fair out of Milan, and I bought a WWII M1 icon

Garand Rifle Leather Scabbard. It is marked " US J.Q.M.D. "
Please tell me if it is original or a reproduction and its approximate year of make.

I thought it was original...but wasn't sure about the strap keepers. So I thought I'd just wait. The rest is gorgeous...

I think straps have been replaced along the years. Their leather is a different colour if compared to the scabbard one.

Many cases the straps had disappeared and had to be sourced...

Today I went back to Militalia and I bought a M1 icon

Carbine Leather Scabbard.

It's not in good shape like the M1 Garand one I had bought yesterday, but I think it's original anyway.

One strap is missing ...

I think( for what that's worth) these are original. They appear to match, I meant they were different from the other straps by the method they're constructed. No, I think this one's all correct. I'm still not sure about the straps on the other. There's a few here that will be along to confirm them...eventually.

I have been surfing the web and I could only find M1 Carbine Leather Scabbard which are repros like these ones ...
No original ones at ebay or at gunbrokers ...

Are original scabbards hard to find in USA icon
