    Dillon Reloading Supplies

    I am in Awe.
I bought my 550 press from dillon back in about 1996/7.
I've loaded close to 50,000 rounds through it and it was getting loose and sloppy.
I called them about their rebuild service and it is "FREE".
I just got my press back yesterday (less then 3 week turn around..... would have been 2 weeks if my handwriting would have been more readable for them to call me).
It looks like they gave me a NEW press and put maybe one of my old parts on it that was still good.
It runs awesome and it was FREE.

I bought a 550b from a widow. The press was badly damaged and required fairly extensive repairs. I contacted Dillon and explained the situation, not being the original owner, prior damage, bought from the widow, etc.... They just told me to send it in and they would look it over. Three weeks later, it was back, completely rebuilt. Total cost? Just the amount it cost me to ship it. The rebuild was free. I'm going to be visiting their facility in a couple of weeks. I plan on thanking them personally for their great service. Jimb, Ohio

Exactly why I dont mind spending the big $$ on Dillon presses. I own three 550s and one 650s...soon to be two 650s if I can save a bit more coin!

Years ago a friends garage burned down with all his reloading stuff inside. He bought new stuff with the insurance money. He sent his burnt 550B to Dillon to see if they could salvage the frame and rebuild it for less than the cost of a new one with a note specifying to scrap it otherwise. They sent him a whole new press, no charge, even for shipping. Best customer service in the world!!!

And if you are ever lucky enough to visit, they give you a free tour of Dillon Precision! I was there just a couple of weeks ago. When I made a comment about the unsatisfactory performance of my .30 carbine case mouth expander/powder funnel, they handed me a new design replacement to take with me!

Dillon is an excellent company, hands-down!

(And Jimb: should I call up and see if they will exchange my .30 carbine powder funnel as well? Is the change that drastic?)

I thought I was the only crazy one. I have four Dillon presses. Two 550's, a 650, and a 1050. Bought all of them used and never a problem with warranty. One time I sent back a new powder measure as it just would not function. I called them they said no way that was possible but send it to them. Got a new one and they said I was right it won't function. Good service.

The reason for the powder funnel change is the problem with case alignment that some of us have on station #2. The funnel would often catch the edge of the case and bend it inward. If you have that problen, which seens to occur only with the carbine case, then contact Dillon. I'm sure they will send you the replacement part.
