A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. in the first video the target is at 75. the group was 15cm for 5 shots
in the second video the target is at 100 and the group was 25cm for 5 shots. I am shooting at the rectangle steel plate (2nd from right)
its 6mm steel and the bullets went straight through
the load is 85 grains of black powder and some filler with 480 grains of soft lead.
the rifle is a Westley Richards & co special quality that has seen service in the South African Union
