Re: Any sources for military issue Inglis HP mags or spare barrels?

I would like to get an extra military mag and barrel for my Inglis HP? It is one of the ones with the non-adjustable rear sight that has the black paint over park finish. Any ideas where to get an extra mag or barrel? Thanks.

Elwood Epps has a barrel I think. He often has mags marked JI also. They're in Canadaicon but that's the best I have.

With a little fitting, any period HP barrel will fit. I made the mistake of loaning mine out to a fellow that shot corrosive ammunition through it. When I got it back, 3 weeks later, the bore was a sewer pipe.
I searched for over a year for a new replacement bbl, made by Inglis. No such luck. Not even the friendly REME could find one. Then he told me they were replacing them with Belgian made barrels. It did require a minor amount of fitting but that was it. I'm still looking for a proper replacement bbl and still have the original. Lack of parts for these pistols is one of the reasons the Canadianicon military is slowly phasing the HP out. AFAIK

The CF is currently trying out various pistols for various jobs in service. They are purchasing mags from FN that are blued and unmarked by the CF. They are trying to use up existing stocks of weapons and parts before deliberately sh*tcanning the rest of the pistols.

Want to sell your trashed bbl? Sounds like exactly what I need to make a blank bbl out of.
