    Krag help

I came home with a Model 1898 Kragicon from the local gun show. The stud that goes through the stock to hold the front barrel band in place is gone. I thought about using a wire nail in its place and then filing each end so it doesn't stick out to much but still serves it's purpose of holding the Barrel band in place.Any thoughts or better ideas are greatly appreciated.TIA pdh

    PDH,

The "stud' is actually quite thin. A piece of piano wire might be just about right. But a finish nail, ground down after driving it in, would probably work just fine. There may be a "correct" part but I don't know what it is.

Enjoy your Kragicon, take it out to the range!

    Roll pin?

Thanks Jon. I thought about a small roll pin but the length is the question?
