Post a pic and we can help. Otherwise we are all just guessing what your band is. There are several traits to a real type 2 band, but each has it's exceptions.

Guys i can tell you i can find NO evidence of grind or dremel or removal marks for the type 3 band "lug"...it is AI marked and has 5 "oval" spot welds on the top band....these seem random rather than uniform in weld pattern.Correct looking "wire" sling loop....etc..will get picture soon for appraisal gentlemen.

    Any clues so far....?

    Regards

    Lloyd

Your top band should stick out farther than your bottom, with a tiny overhang..but there were original WRA bands cut equally, I dont know about UEF

It is an inland band not a UEF regardless if T2 or cut down T3. If it us a real T2 it would be correct for Inlands from the summer of '44 until about the 6.6mil Inlands. The overhang deal is not the deciding factor in originality. The weld patterns on the AI bands were more oval/egg shaped if I remember correctly. See this post for a QHMC and IBM with T2 bands. The post is on the bottom of the first page.
