    A little chronograph buying help

I see Midway has the "shooting Chrony Gamma Master" And "Pact Professional" models on sale this month. Any experiance with these? Is there a clear winner? Something else better on the market. I will probally just use it 3-4 times a year for high power testing.I have never used one. Thanks for any input.

Not sure the exact prices on those, but Chrony's dont have the best rep and I had a PACT and decided it operated better under the tire of my F150!

I now have a CED M2 and like it a lot. Accurate, easy to set up and use and WORKS, well. For $199, I think it might be the best bang for the buck out there.

Thanks John, the Chrony is on sale for $179 and the pact $206. I have a F-150 as well. We were using one of those greek ammo tins as a ash tray outside the shop door I ran it over and it cut right thru the front tire so be careful what you stick under there.

I dont think you will be disappointed if you got the CED M2.

If you go with PACT, be sure to take along alot of batteries. It eats them wholesale.

I presently have and been using the the Chrony Master Gamma for 5 years. I also have their printer and the indoor light set up. I can't say anything bad about it. It has never failed, delivers good readings and is just as accurate as others in their price range.
I had an Oehler 3 screen and due to it's size and set up time I sold it to a gunsmith who uses it when he fires a rebarreled action.

I have the Chrony Master for maybe ten years and love it. I only use the printer a few times each year, but it's handy to have. Always carry extra batteries.

I have had a Pact for about 10 years, and aside from an initial problem which they fixed quickly, it has worked flawlessly for that time.

I use it only ocassionally, but it has had the same battery for last couple years.

    I Like My Oehler 35P

Yes, it was expensive, but it's solid and reliable. I expect this one to last the rest of my life. I'm 56. I like the printer and the immediate response. Hell, I even like that chatter I hear coming out of that little gray box between shots. It works. It always works. And, it works well.
