    My 1903/38 Turkish Mauser

I have a 1903 Turkishicon Mauser with an identity problem. It thinks it's a 1909 Argentineicon Calvary Carbine. The end cap is all that is from a 1909 but the rest is from a 1903 Turkish Mauser. I found it this way in a gun shop. It's well balanced and shoulders nicely but kicks like mule.

I'm sure someone will chime in to help ID the Mauser. While I can't help you on that regard, I just wanted to say "NICE FIND!" That is one interesting and beautiful looking piece.

I pretty much marked it up as a "Bubba" Mauser. It has a nice stock that has been bedded. Somebody took a lot of time and effort with this rifle

Looks homemade to me. Appears to be a rifle and then "fixed".
