    well, since it is a 10-22

    you could expect the SR-22 to shoot EXACTLY like a 10-22. I am thinking of buying one, but for 125.00, I can MAKE a SR-22 looking (M4/M16icon) 10-22 out of my current rifle with some parts from TAPCO. this way, I get the advantage of my Volquartsen trigger/hammer.

    price = 430.00

    $625 according to Ruger web site. Damn Maryland State Police are considering this thing as a regulated firearm (same as AR 15).

    My son just purchased a S&W 15-22 and of course it has been listed as "restricted" here in Canadaicon. Makes no sense but then "firearms logic" left Canada courtesy of the Fed's years ago. It appears to be very well made and is a good plinker. We put on a red dot sight and it is pretty accurate at 100 yards. We found the mag works well but has a tendancy to jam if you always load it to the max. Load it a couple rounds less and no problem. The price was right and a great fun gun for the dollars spent. As mentioned a real shame it is restricted as it would make a fantastic varmit plinker.
    Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?

    It's just a 10-22 in a fancy stock. Remington has done the same thing with their 597 VTR Autoloading Rimfire Rifle - Model 597 - Remington Autoloading Rimfire Rifle

    AR15 styling sells. If you don't have an AR, just make it look like one.

    I just got one a month back here in Ontario, Canadaicon and it is not restricted and classified as a long gun. Typical Ruger factory issues, loose screws, 7-8 lb trigger pull ect...
    It does have some heft to it and does not share the AR controls like charging handle, magazine release. I put a Volquartsen trigger group TG2000 in it, tightened and loctited the screws and removed the front barrel buffer(swivel mount) to make it a true floating barrel. It does feed everything I feed it including Federal Bulk and shoots best with PCM match. 3/8" groups at 25 yrds, 3/4" at 50 and about 1 1/4" at 100 (on a very calm day from a bench). I love the firearm although they put a roll pin in the collapsable stock to prevent adjustment. This is not to comply with Canadian law, just a stupid Ruger thing for exports to Canada. I took out the pin and drilled some new holes for the stock to expand out to my larger size. Everybody who tried it at the range loved it and a few were considering getting one. A nice plinker/semi- serious target/ rodent dispatching 22 in tactical garb. I paid $525 CAD for it and put a Burris 2x7 ballistiplex scope on it with the High burris Zee rings (-10 moa ring offset on the front).
