    Hello all

My name is Jim (AKA as Bart Bandy here). I am a 25 year member of the Canadianicon Forces (RCAF). I serve in Nova Scotia Canada.

My interest stems from all military history, but most specifically that of the Canadian Expeditionary Force. My Grandfather and Great Uncle were veterans, both having been wounded and my Great Uncle died in 1922 of complications after being gassed at Passchendaele in Jan 1918.

I have a 1916 Mk III* that has been in the family since the 1930s. It is a sporterized model. I also have an CHICOM type 56 SKS and a Sovieticon type 45 SKS.

Glad to be here with you.

    Jim

    Introduction

Hello, I have been collecting milsup for years now but I am new to forums. It feels good to find a place with people with the same interest as me. I am looking foreward to talk about my collection, and hearing about others.

    Just found this site

    Hello all,
Just found this site while surfing the net and I really was impressed by the excellent articles on british sniper rifles. I dabble in collecting brit militaria and own a No. 4 Mk l(T). The article helped me immensely in confirming my sniper is a legit rifle. Hope to be able to contribute to the forum

    Newby

Hello I have recently dug out an old inheritance to start tinkering with it. It was my dads deer rifle. I always remember him calling it a Carcano, but never thought any more of it. Now that I have started looking at it I see it is a 1891 Carcano(I think). The number 75 appears on all the parts, even the beat up stock. Also on the butt plate. I assumed this was the serial number, but every other serial number I see has 4 digits. Is it possible that this is the serial number, and what can I learn from this? Also in case it makes a difference it has a hair trigger (two triggers)

    A newbie searching for knowledge

Just a not to introduce myself and say hello to everyone. This is my first attempt at a forum so bear with me while I learn the ropes and figure out how to navigate the site.
For a bit of my bio, I am twice retired, once from the Army and most recently from civilian life. Now I have all the time in the world, I just need to figure out whst to do with all of it!
    My best regards to everyone,

Despite the user name 225WCF my interest is the Lee Enfield rifle.

    Cheers
