Hi - NZ Remington Lee 1885

I am posting on behalf of my father who collects antique rifles and we are hoping someone out there may know something about why and how the NZicon version of the 1885 Remington Lee Rifle came to be re-bored from a 45-70 to a .43 Spanish.

Hello all. Just getting interested in 1903s. I have a 1903 in military configuration, a 1903 that has been made into a sporter and a 03A3 that has be sporterized also. Wanting to learn more about correct parts on the military configuration and also learn more about the parts used to modify the other two into sporters.

    Thanks,
    TC

Hi just joined although have visited site a few times before. Learned to shoot with Enfields at the age of 13 in the cadets (No 8 and No 4) and have been shooting ever since! Recently got into collecting Enfields and all of a sudden seem to have a growing collection!

    Noob from South Africa

    Howdy Folks!

Ds J here, from South Africa. I am of Germanicon and Frenchicon ancestry, our family has been on the Dark Continent for more than 200 years. The "Ds" is our local abbreviation for your "Rev" - I guess that says enough I am an avid hunter and shooter and grew up with guns. Also very jealous of the US 2nd amendment, "stand your ground" and "home castle" doctrines - rules like that do not fly well with our local socialist/marxist government.

My reason for joining: I was presented with a .455 Webley revolver yesterday and I need info on it. Build year 1924 by Enfield. It has not been shimmed and is - as far as I can see/establish - in exceptionally well nick.

    .308 Ammo.

Hello everyone, I'm a new owner of a Harrington and Richardson M1icon Garand.. I've done some internet checking on it and so far I've found out the it was manufactured between 1952 to 1954. I'm really looking forward to shooting it. I've found several on-line sites on the operation of the rifle and I have to say that the ones that show old military instruction videos are very informative. I'm in the process of looking for a place where I can shoot it. I would like to know, if someone can help me, what's the best ammo to use. It's a .308 cal. but after viewing several sites I'm not quite sure which to buy. I would appreciate any help I could get since there is a gun show coming up soon and I would like to purchase some bulk ammo.

    Hi Everyone,
I am new to the Forum. I just placed an order with CMPicon for a Field Grade and a Service Grade M1icon Garand. Now the wait begins... But, in the mean time, I will be reading the forum and try to gain some valuable knowledge from all the members.
