New member from UKicon. Interested in world war Militaria of all types. Owner of Lee Enfield SMLE No.1 Mk3 and No.4 Mk1, Mosin Nagant and Enfield Service revolver... several medals but nothing especially rare and some other ephemera... Not expert by any means, still on a very long learning curve...

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Question ALASKATC need knowledge

HI guys - been collecting what ever I could since that first .303 SMLE from Sears Roebuck - across the counter after telephone order, for $9.95 in about 1958. Ended up seeking guns from every major power in WW2, which I THINK I now have, at least in the form of "Project" guns to be restored. Added bayonets as well. So let's talk.

And... I am now confused a bit - thought I already answered the new guy signup, and even posted a few questions in various threads, but system says I am virgin-new. Is there another forum I'm confusing with this?

    Introduction,

Mike Pifer here, from CT. New to this Forum. I love anything that goes BANG. Over sixty years Have shot Most competitive shooting sports. Recently have found vintage Military rifles to be quite interesting. Two most interesting are the 577/450 MH and the 577 Snider.

Looking forward to learning from this Forum.

ALASKATC, Don't feel alone that the Forum did not recognize you. After being a member for several years today it never heard of me and did not recognize my email account. Oh well I'm now signed up as a virgin also. Happy to have access once again.

    First Hello's

Hiya, im George from the UKicon and have been attending military shows since I was a kid. I finally started my own collection this year with a Sten MKV and since then haven't been able to stop my search for knowledge. I love history and having been reading bits and pieces on here I thought it was about time I said hello, thanks for having me.
