    Browning made in Japan

Whitch Browning rifles are made at the Miroku factory and what about their quality. Are those rifles made from the same steel and wood (as the U.S. made) and does they also have the high finishing?

    Hi John,

in this case i can only talk about shotguns where i have a 12 gauge Mirokou-Browning gun. This one is a very high quality rifle with perfect fitting of all parts and a perfect finish.

    Regards,

    Gunner

What Browning has EVER been made in the US? Inquiring minds want to know! Hint: Browning firearms were made by FN-Herstal in Belgiumicon, or by Miroku in Japanicon!

BTW, Weatherby firearms were made by Howa in Japan....ever hear ANYONE complain about the wood or the metal finish on them?

I have had a number of the Browning Citori shotguns. In every instance fit and finish has been impeccable. JMHO. Sincerely. BruceV.

Browning doesn't manufacture any firearms in the U.S. The BAR, Shorttrack, and Longtrack rifles are made in Belgium and assembled in Portugal. All others are from Japanicon. The quality of fit and finish is fine. I have very few problems to warrantee on new Brownings as opposed to other manufacturers. I don't see how some firearms make it out the door, a blind monkey could tell you they won't pass inspection.

    HTH,

    Emri

My Mikoru O/U has been giving me great service for years and it is a beautiful gun. I'm pretty sure that if Mikoru made husbands we would all be replaced.

I had it in the back of my head that possibly the Buckmark pistol was made in the U.S., but I've never examined one closely and can't say for sure.

I will say that all the Japanese-made Brownings I've ever owned or seen have been superbly finished, to include the Winchester reproductions.

When the Germans took over the FN plant Browning contracted with Remington to make auto 5s. This lasted into the late 40s. They are basically a Remington model 11 with a mag cuttoff and the Browning name on them, I would not expect parts to interchange like barrels and they are not worth as much as Belgiumicon made A5s. I think the buckmarks are or were made in the US. The Japaneseicon made Brownings are well made guns nothing wrong with them the Belgium made one seem a bit better finished. The Japanese made auto 5s have better steel in them then the FN made ones.
