    Help dating a Rock-Ola

Picked up a Rock-Ola (original 1950 NRA sale piece), serial number 4,631,xxx. The Rock-Ola barrel has no date so I assume the receiver was made after June of ’43. Can you help with the “born on” date?
    Thank you!

About Feb. 1944 for your carbine. I think the NRA carbines came out around 1963.

Thank you, Bruce. You have helped me (and many others) dating carbines. It's good of you!

I went back and looked at the email the original owner's son provided. I was wrong about the date the original owner bought it. The son stated: "WWII surplus bought from the NRA by my father in the late 50's. Came packed in cosmolineicon and as far as I know, was never fired by my father or me."
