A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. FTD,
I can't answer about how many BA barrels QHMC was issued or accepted.
To be honest....I've never held a BA barrel in hand !
Mis-placed my copies of War Baby and have yet to find them.
That is a nice looking receiver how ever.

I noticed the Crossed Cannons stamp on the BA barrel flat.
    Is that common on these?

Also noticed that the seller states....
"Please Note: Because of this item being a carbine barrel & receiver, it must go to a 01 FFL, not an 03 C&R. BATF rules state that a C&R eligible firearm must be in its original configuration to be eligible for C&R status. Because this is only a receiver and is not a complete rifle it is NOT in original configuration, (example no stock, bolt, slide, etc.) and therefore it is NOT eligible for a C&R transfer.

Please do not email me asking me about my accepting a C&R 03 license. Refer to page 52 of ATF Publication 5300.11 (Firearms Curios or Relics List) Thank you!"

    I'm currently applying for my 03 C and R. I wasn't aware of this.
Looks like I have some homework to do.

Most were rejected because of straightness problem. After they were straightened, they could be used. Literaly tens of thousands were used.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
