Oh, you'd have fun shooting it, no problem there.
A point: the Martini action has the FASTEST lock time of anything ever built..... before or since. With a well-tuned trigger, they can get a round out the muzzle before the sights have time to wander away from the target. That's why they are still used for the most serious competitions.
And no, you won't lose a nickel (or a sixpence) if you buy it now and sell it again later. The supply is very limited, they are excellent rifles.... and the factory just isn't making any more of them for some reason. Buy it now, play with it a couple of years, let us know here when you sell it..... and you'll have a waiting-list in your PM box!

I have just picked up a Citadel Martini in .303 its a cracking rifle dated 1905 but if you get it right in the light you can just make out the original markings on the side of the action Enfield 1884, I shot it last weekend at 300yds it was great fun to shoot, however it was shooting very high even with the sights set to 200 but Im suspecting that it was sighted for MkV1 ammunition 214gr and not a 174gr bullet

I've just acquired a .303 converted Martini ( carbine ??). Scrubbed receiver sides, LE bbl. The forestock is so close to toast that I'd rather not put up a pic...but it's got a rather unique cap on the forestock; bayonet latch system?
I just bought it for a truck gun, but if the forestock cap is desirable I'd probably let it go on a trade; not looking to gain anything but I'd help out someone if they needed one.

Just got back from 10 days in Beautiful central AB, LOL.
The end cap isn't a Martini-Henry piece.
I just got through leafing through the final issue of G & A Surplus Firearms.
It appears that I've an end cap off of a RIC or NWMP/RNWMP Lee-Metford carbine on the end of a Parker-Hale marked LE bbl on a Martini-Henry.
Whew!
Say that three times fast.
Which means I probably didn't take as bad of a bath price-wise as I'd thought.
I'm guessing this end cap will be rather rare & being that we Canucks are crazy about restoring Bubba'd LE's...probably a good trader
