    Seller says:

A beautiful C No.7 – the complete package with transit chest, the super rare C broad arrow stamped cleaning rod and accessories. The 25.2” barrel is bright & original as manufactured (not the sleeved insert that characterized the Britishicon No.2 Mk.IV*.) Bolt, bolthead & magazine/follower all factory modified to feed, extract and fire the .22LR cartridge. Bolt S/N different from rifle as so often the case with training rifles. Original rear aperture disc sight specifically designed for the rifle (unlike the No. 2, which utilized the standard .303 sight) with elevation and windage adjustments in graduated clicks from 20 to 100 yards. The brass cleaning rod is as minty as the rifle with deeply stamped C broad arrow on the egg-shaped wood handle, and full complement of brush, jag and patch tip. I’ve seen these with mop instead of patch tip but you be the judge of how appropriate this is. Transit chest in great shape with all internal blocks, etc., present & accounted for. Hard to find complete and in such minty condition.

    $850.00 + $25.00 shipping

    Rather flowery writeup.
"As so often the case with training rifles" referring to the m/m bolt is just BS. Common enough if the rifle is a bitser.
Price isn't bad, given the ask sometimes seen these days.

Yes, I will agree, it's likely a bitser but you got to admit,it's a pretty nice lookin' bitser.LOL The price is a steal if you compare to Zefarm and some others. The acessories look good.
I've dealt with this fellow before and he was strait with me on the condition of his goods and I had to turn down the deal because of it with no hard feelings.
I've had my bid in for over two hrs. and no reply. We'll see.LOL

Note that what little you can see of the serial number is incorrect for a Cno7, and that the area has the telltale appearance of having been ground flat.
So it's a post factory put-together. Quite frankly, the way prices are these days, it's still worth that in parts. Nice looking origional chest without the post war repaint too.
Down side to most of these is usually two or three things. First, the weapons techs (usually) who assemble them don't know enough to use a correct range serial number (0L to 2L on the 44, 45 and 46. From the few 50s dated samples I have seen, they were serialised in series with the Cno4s of that era).
Secondly, they often do not have the tools to fully index the barrels. Cantom found this out with his recently. Not too bad to fix this problem if someone you know has the wrenches. Problem comes in when the guy assembling the rifle tries too hard to index the barrel using improvised tools, and twists the receiver, or mars the surface of the barrel.
Lastly, the proper bedding of the wood is a bit of an art. Sometimes you get away with just bolting on a good set of wood, sometimes you do not.

I must say it is good to finally see the prices of the Cno7s starting to go up again. Seems like they were stuck at $650-750 for too many years. I was starting to worry I would never see my money back on some of mine.
Seems like a big slinky...the prices of Cno7s go up...then the price of snipers go up, then the price of no4mk1*s go up, then the Cno7s go up.....actually, I likely should have had the snipers in that formula a couple more times.
