    Tank riders with Enfields (Pic)

    Soldiers riding a Sherman tank.
We've got Enfields, a Bren, and, uh-oh, the muzzle of an MP38 (or MP40).
Could it be someone doesn't like Enfields?
This was taken in Holland, Sept. 1944.

I talked to a man who was there, he had picked up an MP40 for sub machine gun use. Mostly because he wanted one. The first night he skylined himself the whole place opened up on him! He realised they had seen the outline of his new weapon and mistaken him for someone else. He threw it away and went back to his own issue. I personally don't think it a good idea to use the enemy weapons unless an emergency.
