Thanks Alan, that's the best resolution parts diagram I've come across. It still doesn't show the upper handguards (parts 67 and 68) in detail. Aren't there stamped metal parts riveted to those, such as where the front handguard fits under the nose cap?

Under the rear handguard is a 'double spring clip' (similar to those used for holding tools in place) which is riveted thro' the handguard.

The front handguard does have a protecting 'plate' riveted onto the end where it goes underneath the 'nose piece'.

Both of these metal parts seem to have been supplied as an integral part of the furniture. I have only once been able to source them and that was from a guy 'breaking' up some old woodwork. I dont ever recall seeing them for sale as a seperate item. I did once buy a rear handguard that didnt have the spring clip fitted (but did have the rivet holes)

Check with your potential supplier - you might find they come with them (if they dont try somewhere else as I think you'll struggle to find them)
