    Type 3 Nm ???

Just when I thought I was getting a handle on the NM rifle up pops a "Type 3" on the CMPicon Auction site. I may have been asleep on this one but have not heard of a "Type 3" before.

    Also has a HRA barrel.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. My mistake. Someone on the CMPicon forum had gaven the link to this auction, commenting on the prices. I went to the link, looked at the "Data Sheet" and saw it marked as a "Type 3". Never noticed a date of the auction. In fact I didn't realize the auctions were not removed as soon as completed.
I also posted this question on the Granditis forum and was told that this was a "4 year old auction and since that time Orest (CMP) has agreed not to use the "Type 3" term. It was the belief of most that two types, with the line drawn with the advent of the glass bedded stock, was enough. Not sure but CMP may have called it a "Type 3" because of the HRA barrel.
Again, sorry for the misleading post.
