    UK Pecar Scope Repair

Does anyone out there know somone in the UKicon who can service/repair a Pecar 4-10 scope off my Enforcer. Elevation Adjustment does not give regular clicks at times when you turn it and I do not think reticule is moving correctly as a result between yardage changes (if efforts on zero range yesterday are anything to go by!!).

Also does anyone have a set of Parkerhale RAHS.4 scope mounts they might be willing to part with as I have another 4-10 Pecar scope that has the 26mm tube. (I know they are almost unobtainium, unless you are prepared to pay silly money on Epay - but I've got to ask)

I have a spare set of RAHS.3 and a set of RALS.4 mounts (still in their box) if anyone would like to trade.

    Hi TGBMaverick,

I can't help you with your pecar scope question, but I was wondering if there was anyone in the US who was able to provide the same service. I may (if things go well) be the owner of an enforcer some time in the near future, and I would like to know where I can get bits fixed in the continent I live on, if they develop problems in the future. If not, it would be nice to know if there was someone in the world who could help lol.

If you haven't noticed, one of the form stickies is regarding a service for Enforcer, Envoy, etc, owners to find out more about their rifle's history (when made, where shipped, etc.).

How does your Enforcer shoot, if you take her to the range?

Service for Pecar - no !

But I know a man who has spare reticules (thats the complete up / down left / right clickers and cross hairs and everything.) they simply unscrew and the whole unit lifts out and drop the new one in.

You are looking around the £100 mark tho.

With regard to Simon's service for Enforcers etc, I dont know whats happened to him, he hasnt replied to any posts since October last year. Hopefully he's OK.

You might find the attached link interesting :

Eagle Hurst Sporting | Pecar Berlin

TGB - I'm compliling a list of 'where are they now' for the Enforcers with a view to producing a book(let) on the subject (development, history, which Police forces had which rifle, and where in the world they are now)
Would you be kind enough to PM or post on a thread any details, example of information needed :

    Serial Number
Scope type & serial number (if any)
    Bipod type (if any)
    Rear sight type (if any)
Your location (City or county is sufficient)

    Thanks
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Alan, when you finish that booklet, I'll be one of the first in line for a copy. Thanks for helping increase our knowledge field regarding Enfields.

Looks like I might have to buy some spare reticules

    Pecar repairer

Try Paul Burke, near Birmingham, Englandicon. Tel 0121 788 1050. That was his number a few years ago, he still advertises his telescopic sight repair service.
He has replaced a cross-hair on a WW1 Aldis scope for me. He used to repair Pecars for the police.

    Hi,

I have used Paul Burke he’s a supper chap, only at Christmas did he fix my Enforcers Pecar scope, and all is as good as new. His details can be found in Gun Mart, as he’s a regular trader. He can rebuild the scopes, including re-bluing (heat treatment), and well as fixing broken reticules, lens and stuff. A trustworthy true gentleman!!!

Thanks All, your assitance is very much appreciated - I'll try and contact Paul to see if he can help me out.

Not a sniff of any 26mm Scope Rings though - that's the trouble with pesky Unobtainium!!!!

Peter I hate to shine light at the end of the tunnel, but I know of 10 or so No.32’s that have been loving restored by Paul Burke… I think that you might have some luck with the scope rings; at Fulton’s & Son I saw a set new (well no rust on them) as a pair with a label around their neck of £40.00. I have enclosed a link for contact details, this was before Christmas lets hope that santer, has not taken them back to the north pole… http://www.fultonsofbisley.com/
