Wanted - Mosin Nagant Carbine

Hi. I'm new to this forum. I recently shot a friend's Mosin Nagant carbine and loved it. Now, I'd like to have one of my own. Can anyone suggest a reputable dealer in California? I live in Sacramento so someone close to home would be ideal.

I'm thinking a M39 or M38 with a very good bore would be perfect. An M44 would work but I'm not crazy about the bayonet. Thanks very much for any suggestions or advice.

actually, the M39 isn't a carbine. it's just a slightly shorter Mosin Nagant made by Finland.

as far as finding M38s or M44s in California, Big 5 Sporting Goods is a great place. i'd recon you'd have a harder time not finding one than finding one. they're everywhere so maybe even a local gun store.

I shouldn't be to hard finding a M38, however it will be hard finding one that wasn't counterbored.
